Pakistani activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, has signed a multiyear deal with Apple TV+. She aims to produce content that focuses on women and children.

“Today, Apple is unveiling a multiyear programming partnership with women’s rights activist and youngest Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai,” the company said in a statement.

It further said,

“Building on Malala’s longstanding relationship with Apple, her original programming for Apple TV+ will span dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation, and children’s series, and draw on her ability to inspire people around the world.”

Malala said that she is grateful to have an opportunity to support women and young people. The activist was quoted saying,

“I believe in the power of stories to bring families together, forge friendships, build movements, and inspire children to dream. And I couldn’t ask for a better partner than Apple to help bring these stories to life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support women, young people, writers, and artists in reflecting the world as they see it.”

At the age of 17, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Malala has written several books, documenting her early life and the challenges she faced.

Her foundation, Malala Fund ensures the right of 12 years of safe, free, quality education to every girl. In 2018, Apple became the first partner of the Malala Fund, ‘supporting the organization’s work with local advocates and teachers in eight countries where girls face significant education challenges’.

The partnership has since expanded and together, they are aiming to produce engaging content for their followers.
