25-year-old singer, scriptwriter Aima Baig recently appeared in an interview with Mira Sethi on her virtual show where fans got to know details about the singer’s personal and professional life. But what caught everyone’s attention was her powerful reply to one of the most commented questions on her Instagram pictures.
Mira said that people have a lot of good things to say about her gorgeous photoshoot pictures on the social media platform. Internet trolls often question her modern dressing. Others go too far and ask “are you a Muslim?”.
I keep forgetting that my Instagram account is public. And if I am composed right now that’s because of my team. Otherwise I am a hippie on my own.
Aima Baig also added that some negative comments are so funny that they make her day. But how does she deal with people questioning her religion? Well here’s what she said:
“How can people question one’s faith? You don’t know how my relation with God has been, or is right now. People don’t know about the things I’ve been through in my life, or the things that brought me closer to Allah,” stressed Aima.
The singer also added that she can’t reveal what she holds inside her heart, because that is personal to her.
If we dress a certain way, then we’re not Muslims. Why? Because we don’t dress up according to their perception of what a Muslim woman can wear.
