Areeba Habib

Areeba Habib is a talented young model and actress and she is currently playing the role of Misha in ARY Digital’s Jalan.

The actress started her career as a model and in her latest interview with Something Haute, she talked about her exciting journey.

While many people know that Areeba is also a designer, most of us don’t know how she got into modeling. Turns out, it all happened ‘coincidentally’.

One fine evening, when Areeba Habib was enjoying Hi-Tea with her family, Fareeha Altaf and Tapu Javeri approached her and asked her to audition for the Miss Veet Show (which was happening there by the way).

“Everyone there was so well dressed and I was in my khussa, and white kurta pajama. I thought I didn’t make it but the next day, they called me and told me I was selected.”

From there, began Areeba’s journey and in 2018, she made her debut with Koi Chand Rakh in a negative role.

Areeba Habib on Misha’s Character

Talking about the ‘controversial’ play Jalan, Areeba said the script seemed unacceptable at first. However, when the team sat together and started discussing it, she realized that it is another sad truth about our society.

The drama faced a lot of criticism and Misha’s perspective was a little problematic, however, Areeba does not have any regrets. She has no issues with her character because she thinks the story is based on reality and Misha’s upbringing is the reason how she acts towards her sister and husband.

The issue exists in our society and parents play a huge part in sibling rivalry. Misha was always supposed to succumb to the whims of her sister and that’s why she thinks Nisha is solely responsible for her husband’s betrayal.
