Yaad singer Asim Azhar has once again raised his voice for protesting students. He is demanding justice from PM Imran Khan and wants him to listen to their concerns.
In-person examinations for grade 9th to 12th have been scheduled and will begin later this month. However, the pandemic still isn’t over yet and students are appealing to the government to call off the sit-in exams.
On Thursday morning, students had started gathering outside the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and also appealed for Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood’s resignation. The protest didn’t go well as Islamabad police used force to end it and temporarily detained a dozen students as well.
Students took it to social media to raise their concerns and in a few hours, #ImranKhanStudentsKiSunLo, #Matric, and #ShafqatMahmood started trending on Twitter.
Lending his support to the youth, the Tum Tum singer said:
“All students are equal, Chaahay board ya Cambridge. Justice ho ga tou sabka ho ga, InshaAllah!“
All students are equal. Chaahay board ya cambridge. Justice hoga tou sabka hoga, InshaAllah!
