With Pakistan currently dealing with the third wave of COVID-19 outbreak, the government has taken stringent moves to push citizens to adhere to the virus SOPs. So when a government official, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan slipped up, responsible citizen Atiqa Odho was quick to point it out.
Everyone is being urged to wear masks, especially in crowds, to control the spread of the deadly virus. Yet people often take their masks off to be photographed. That’s neither advisable nor safe.

She pointed out how the government must lead by example.

Pakistan was hit by the second wave of the coronavirus outbreak after the lockdown was lifted and restrictions were eased in August 2020. This led to the government closing down educational institutes and banning indoor dining.
However, now there’s been another major surge in cases in the last couple of weeks, marking phase three of the pandemic. 3,669 new cases and 20 new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, 8.43% of tests are coming out positive.
