Pakistan showbiz industry’s veteran actress, Atiqa Odho had the privilege of participating in the sewing of the Kiswa (Ghilaf-e-Kaaba) in Saudi Arabia.
The actress shared video clips from her recent Umraah, including one where she is seen is seen embroidering the sacred cover of Kaaba with gold wires.
Atiqa Odho shared the reel on her Instagram with the caption,
Blessed to have been able to add my love and devotion to Allah on the Kiswa of the Kaaba. Never thought I’d get a beautiful chance like this in my lifetime. Shukar Allah. Allah O Akbar.
The clip went viral on social media with many praising her. One fan raised an interesting query, asking Atiqa how she was able to get such an opportunity that is unavailable to the common people.
The veteran actress skipped her birthday celebrations as she performed Umraah earlier this week, sharing her experience with her fans on social media. Atiqa is also promoting the Pakistani drama and film industry, hoping to start culture exchange with Saudi Arabia.
Atiqa Odho also prayed for Pakistan as well as for Turkey “so that they may recover quickly from the devastating earthquake that’s shaken their country to its core. Praying for Syria so that they may recover as well and find governance and peace”.
Atiqa is one of Pakistan’s iconic actresses with several hits in her career that spans more than 20 years, including the top drama serials Humsafar, Dasht, Sitara or Mehrunnisa, Nijaat, Pardes, and Pyar kay Sadqay.
The veteran actress Atiqa Odho will soon also make her international debut in the Turkish serial Koyu Beyaz.
