The actress has a myriad of hit films under her belt, and she’s said it loud and clear that nobody can tell her what she can do. She wasn’t as popular as she is right now, but Katrina says that she has always decided what projects to go for.

In an interview that goes into the subject of how women are boxed and stereotyped in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif opened up about how being typecast in every other film could have limited her career.

Katrina said it is important for someone to have a clear vision of the mark they want to make. Everyone has to decide how to work their way forward from there, regardless of what people say.

“If we are looking over our shoulder, and around us at what people are saying about us and taking that to heart and letting it weigh us down; We’re diverting our energy from where it should be, which is creating and doing what we want to do,”

People around are bent on passing judgments without knowing one’s capabilities. This is what Katrina had to say about it:

“Nobody can tell me what I want to do or what I can do, as that is for me to decide,”

She admitted that she might seem overtly positive now that she’s a top actress. However, she has always tried to work with a positive outlook, even during tough times when she wasn’t well-known. Initially, she too was affected by the negativity and felt bad but she learned to overcome it.
