It has got major feels.

Haseeb Hassan’s directorial brought us to tears with just a teaser trailer about the Baloch boy Behram. The child star’s acting is just heart-warming.

You can watch the teaser here:

About Laal

Laal cast Bilal Abbas Khan as a naval officer, along with Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed in leading roles. Famed writer Umera Ahmed penned the script for the telefilm.

Laal is a patriot drama and from the looks of the trailer, we’ll be following a young boy from Baluchistan named Behram’s journey to become a naval officer.

From what we gathered from the teaser Behram is the son of a fisherman from Balochistan.

We see Saleem Mairaj in the role of the father. With actress Iffat Rahim in the role of the mother. The teaser reveals where the telefilm gets its’ name.

Plot Details

When the father scolds his younger son Behram for not wanting to be a fisherman he calls his elder son ‘Heera‘ (diamond). Behram questions that if his brother is a gem then what is he. To which Iffat Umar replies ‘you’re my Laal’ (ruby).

It’s not just the raw emotion in the shots that had us tearing up. The film’s overall message of sacrifice, bravery, fearlessness, and determination will have you bawling your eyes out (in a good way).

Laal release date is scheduled for 23rd March, right on cue for Pakistan Day.
