Thrilling acting performances by Hadiqa Kiani, Saniya Saeed, Faryal Mehmood and Iqra Aziz had everyone forget who even was the lead character as we were immersed into the story.
The bittersweet ending saw incredible character journeys yet it was sad letting go of them.
You all will be missed❤❤❤❤#Raqeebse pic.twitter.com/0ok33hqK3G

Drama ‘Raqeeb Se’ Proves That Women Do Not Always Hate Each Other
We finally found out the truth of the dysfunctional relationship between Hajra (Sania Saeed) and Maqsood (Nouman Ijaz). At least they finally learned to love each other.
Faryal Mehmood’s ‘Insha‘ in particular blew the audience away with her character’s self-discovery, and development.
However, her relationship with Maqsood remains strained. Though they were taking baby steps to repair that.
Audiences really picked up on that. Here’s what they had to say.
I’ve never seen such an empowering yet raw depiction of unresolved generational trauma on pakistani television.
The vulnerability, reasoning and the poetic voice that the writer gave to each character, the understanding of baggage that everyone carries in life. WOW#RaqeebSe pic.twitter.com/4UudWwc0GQ— Zaay (@staapmayt) May 20, 2021
Still reeling over the fact that how good a script Raqeeb Se was!
Subtle, impactful, and breaking age old taboos!Bee Gul is a master story teller!
All actors were phenomenal. #RaqeebSe— Bela (@Bela64788191) May 27, 2021
That’s not the only progressive part of the script. Rather than pushing the typical trope of ‘hating the other woman’, Sakina and Hajra’s relationship had everyone gushing. Hadiqa Kiani’s ‘Sakina’ grew so much throughout the course of the drama.

Iqra Aziz’s ‘Meera’ really matured and ‘started behaving’ as Kashif would say. From developing a similar infatuation with Maqsood to moving on to accept a man that accepts and respects her.
Journey of ameera who was so fascinated with sakina and maqsood sahab love story that she started idolizing maqsood sahab as her love interest, I loved that the behavior was never encouraged by anyone and she realised where she was wrong! +#Raqeebse

Pakistani Twitter can’t help but swoon over Kashif. He’s an example of how you don’t need to resort to toxic masculinity because you’re ‘a man’.
"Main kehna nai, poochna chahta huun, kya tum krougi mjhsey shaadi." Kashif's character broke so many stereotypes; asking for consent instead of acting all macho. The best man of Raqeeb se. Loved that he stood up for the right till the end. Heartwrenching though 😭💔 #RaqeebSe pic.twitter.com/SazWeWT482

Meanwhile, Sakina and Meera’s story was more tragic. From Sakina wasting her life away for lost love to her daughter morning the loss of a man she loved.
Similar situation but two different results, it's a full circle written so beautifully by Bee Gul!!! 🤍#RaqeebSe pic.twitter.com/ejacsY26IA

People will really miss all these characters. What about you? What did you love about the drama.
Written by Bee Gul, the drama serial was inspired by a poem penned by Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Kashif Nisar’s direction only further contributed to making this drama a hit. Both Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar previously created the blockbuster, Darr Si Jati Hai Sila.
