Syed Jibran recalls a funny story about the time he tried to take his Ghabrana Nahi Hai costar Saba Qamar on a date. The actor reveals how the two became friends.
Actors Syed Jibran and Saba Qamar Zaman are close friends. But that wasn’t the case when the two met each other the first time. Recently, the Chup Raho star sat down for an interview with Fuchsia Magazine on their YouTube show Gup Shup to talk about his career and journey into showbiz.
During the interview, the 42-year-old had some very interesting stories to tell, including the time he met actress Saba Qamar Zaman for the first time. According to Jibran, it was 2004 as he was doing a commercial in Karachi.
Back then Saba was a model and paid no attention to him on set. However, he and Saba were brought together again in Islamabad and became friends.
“I tried very hard to become her ‘friend’ friend,” Jibran said. “One day, I asked her out for dinner. She accepted it but was very clever. When I came to pick her up, she brought the entire crew with her. Since that day, I give up and maintained my friendship with her.”
Syed Jibran also adds that this is the reason why he enjoyed working with Saba as they had chemistry in Ghabrana Nahi Hai. He even jokingly said to Saba that they had dated and broken up, this movie wouldn’t have worked.
