Bollywood Gets Corona: Kanika Kapoor Tests Positive For the Virus

The ‘Baby Doll’ singer is the first confirmed Bollywood case.

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor is the latest celebrity to be tested positive for COVID-19 or the coronavirus, on Friday. The singer, who shot to fame with her mega hit song ‘Baby Doll’, has been admitted to Lucknow’s King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital. Kanika is currently been kept in an isolation ward.

The singer was recently reported to be returning from London. Also, reports seem to suggest that Kanika was hosting a fancy party. The function was attended by many Indian bureaucrats, politicians and Bollywood celebrities. The party was held at a lavish apartment and medical officials are unsure whether to quarantine the singer and her guests or seal off the entire building.

“Some people have started approaching us for tests but we still do not know how to make the VIPs undergo tests,” said a doctor at the KGMU.
