The internet is buzzing with controversy as Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and Mathira find themselves embroiled in a heated public spat.
After Mathira called out the Bado Badi singer for his inappropriate behavior, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan wasted no time in firing back. In a video posted to his Instagram, he denied the allegations and accused Mathira of fabricating the story for attention.
“Mathira is speaking out against me when in reality, she pleaded for months that I appear on her show because it wasn’t doing well,” Khan claimed.
He went on to explain the context of the video, stating that Mathira had asked him how long it takes to shoot a music video. According to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, he was merely demonstrating his process after the show ended.
“When the show ended, during the photo session, my video shows that she came to me and put her arm around my waist. I straightened her and said pictures were taken facing the front,” he said.
Khan also alleged that Mathira “enjoyed” the demonstration, laughing throughout the interaction. He accused her of turning the situation into a harassment claim only after the episode became a hit.
“This is a big accusation,” he said. “I have spoken to my lawyers and will meet with another solicitor. I will take you to court. I did not harass you.”
Mathira had also claimed that Khan’s team secretly recorded the video that was later posted online. Khan, however, denied this, stating that he always attends television shows alone and does not bring a team with him.
“Your own worker, one of the cameramen, recorded the video and I got it from them,” he alleged. “That someone was with me and recording a video secretly is a huge lie and allegation.”
Khan maintained that he had treated Mathira with respect during the show, even refraining from answering many of her questions to keep the tone lighthearted.
“Later you made claims of harassment. This is injustice,” he said.
The drama began when Mathira accused Khan of making her uncomfortable during his appearance on her talk show, The 21mm Show. Following the episode, Khan posted a video to his Instagram that showed him moving closer to Mathira while singing his popular track Bado Badi.
In her video, Mathira described the interaction as deeply uncomfortable, stating that she does not hug people and felt disrespected by Khan’s behavior.
