‘Children Are Not Toys’: Shaniera Akram Schools Feroze Khan for Endangering His Child While Driving

The nation’s bhabi is sick of Pakistanis’ stupidity.

Road safety isn’t taken very seriously in Pakistan, so while advocacy can be hard, celebrities can at least do the bare minimum and use their platforms for responsible influencing. Wasim Akram’s wife, Shaniera Akram, is known for calling Pakistani celebrities out for the dumb things they do. This time, she shared her concerns about the actor Feroze Khan, who, she strongly feels, should be responsible while driving with his children.

On Friday, the activist shared a clip that his sister, Humaima Malick, had posted online of him driving with his son on his lap. Shaniera Akram reposted it in her Instagram stories and got into ‘mom mode’.

She wrote,

Why don’t they get it through their thick heads! this is DANGEROUS and putting your own child’s life in jeopardy”.

Stating facts, Shaniera Akram, said that if you have a child on your lap and a car hits you, even if it’s going less than 30km/h, the child on your lap will be flung from your arms and get injured.

She added,

If your child survives, chances are they will have hit their head so hard they will have a brain injury for life. Why, WHY would anyone ever even risk that? Your child doesn’t know what’s right, but you do! Don’t be an idiot, children are not TOYS!

Continuing with her rant, Shaiera Akram said, that she is sick of this behavior and finds it rather absurd that people don’t use basic common sense. She also suggested that Feroze Khan put his seatbelt on and keep his child in the backseat instead of his lap in the driver’s seat.

Shaniera Akram also clarified in another Instagram story that she has “nothing personally against any celebrity or influencer” and that they can post whatever they like but if and when they blatantly do dangerous things that put children’s lives at risk and post them doing it, it’s not ok and she cannot ignore it.

Earlier this year, Shaniera Akram also told Minal Khan and her husband, Ahsan Mohsin Ikram, off for not following road safety rules.
