‘Churails’ Accused of Stealing Artwork For Their Opening Credits

Another controversy for the hit series.

The cast and crew of Churails would have been well aware of the controversies they would kick up when the show released. However, this latest one might have been avoidable altogether.

In a tweet by user Amna Tariq, the show has been called out for plagiarizing artwork from another artist.

The artist whose work has allegedly been plagiarized is Malika Favre, a French illustrator with over 360K followers on Instagram. Apart from her social media popularity, Favre has done multiple cover features on The New Yorker and even has her own published book.

Her success speaks for herself, as does her distinct style. Which makes one wonder how they could have pulled this off if the allegations are true.

Amna’s tweet has gotten some disappointing responses. Asim Abbas, the director of Churails has yet to say anything about the matter. We’re hoping the team can shed some light on the situation.

Plagiarism is a serious issue, and its time people took it seriously.
