Kaho Na Pyaar Hai is a Bollywood film that was released in the early 2000s. The film features stars Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel. The love story managed to earn around Rs 80 crores at the box office, making it a huge success.
The action-thriller and drama movie filmed in India and New Zealand currently came up on the internet once again, but for all the wrong reasons.
People, in an attempt to cash-in on the current coronavirus epidemic, have been getting virus-related titles registered. One of them happened to be a play of words on the movie ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’.
And this meme was born:
Not only did this title enrage some fans of the film on social media, but it also caught the attention of Hrithik Roshan’s dad and director of the movie Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh is outraged at people calling it a harmless pun, and remained unamused.
It’s a mockery of the situation that the world is combating. It’s childish and immature to do such a thing at this time. We should ignore these people as they are not thinking straight.
There is no similarity between the two films. Even with regard to the names, their title Corona Pyaar Hai has a different meaning to it. So, I cannot do anything about it.
Do you think Rakesh Roshan’s reaction was unwarranted? Or do you agree with him?
