Amid the Israel-Iran war, Iranian anchor Sahar Emami demonstrated remarkable bravery by resuming her broadcast shortly after an Israeli missile struck the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) headquarters in Tehran on Monday.

The attack targeted the IRIB complex, home to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN), where Sahar Emami was reporting live.

The incident occurred during a live segment when an explosion filled the studio with dust and debris. Footage shows Sahar Emami calmly stepping away as the screen went dark, with “Allahu Akbar” chants in the background.

The broadcast switched to pre-recorded content, but within minutes, Sahar Emami returned from another studio, continuing with steady resolve. She reportedly said, “It’s not the building that was bombed, it’s the freedom of speech and voice of truth that was targeted.”

Israel issued an evacuation warning for Tehran’s 3rd District an hour earlier. Defense Minister Israel Katz claimed responsibility, calling IRIB a “propaganda tool” of Iran’s military. The strike is part of Israel’s campaign since June 12, targeting Iran’s nuclear and military sites, including recent hits on oil facilities and the Quds Force.

Sahar Emami’s return has won widespread praise on social media, with fans dubbing her the “iron lady of IRIB.”

The strike involved four missiles, causing fires contained by 9:00 PM. It’s the fourth day of direct clashes, after Iran’s missiles killed 78. Israel aimed to disrupt communications, but Sahar Emami’s defiance has united many. Iran reported 12 injuries, no deaths yet.
