Veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan was found dead in her flat in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Karachi. According to police, her body was discovered nearly a week after her death, raising concerns about her isolation and health. Ayesha had been living alone for several years and had distanced herself from the public eye.
The 76-year-old actress was the elder sister of renowned TV actress Khalida Riyasat and was born on November 22, 1948.
Her body has been transferred to Jinnah Hospital for further examination, and police have begun questioning neighbors and relatives as part of the investigation.
Ayesha Khan was celebrated for her exceptional talent and versatility on Pakistan Television (PTV). Her memorable performances in shows such as Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Bol Meri Machli, and Ek Aur Aasman have left a lasting impact on audiences in both Pakistan and India.
She was known for her ability to excel in both comedic and serious roles, often appearing alongside actors Qazi Wajid and Talat Hussain, forming one of PTV’s most beloved on-screen duos.
In addition to her television work, Ayesha appeared in several films, including Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Muskaan, and Fatima.
