Death By Overexcitement: Man Dies While Playing PUBG

The viral mobile game claims another life.

PUBG

It has been a while since Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG came out. The popular online game had taken the world by storm as people of all ages became obsessed with this open-world video game. This craze has already started to create a wrong kind of buzz and addiction. Recently, a man died of a stroke while playing the game.

25-year-old Harshal Menane, from the Indian state of Maharastra, tragically died as he suffered a brain stroke while playing PUBG Mobile. According to reports, the man suffered from an Intracerebral hemorrhaging because he got way too excited playing the popular battle royale game.

Following the stroke, the man was immediately rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery. Unfortunately, it was too late as he died during the process. The autopsy report stated,

“It seems the stroke occurred because the victim was over-excited while playing online game PUBG. The post-mortem report has stated intracerebral bleeding with brain tissue necrosis as the cause of death.”

This is not the first time that popular mobile game has been linked to a tragic death. In December 2019, a man died on a moving train while playing the video game. In 20-year-old Saurabh’s case, he accidentally drank a bottle of chemical instead of water. This happened because the youngster was too focused on the video game to notice what he was consuming.

“Saurabh was busy playing PUBG and did not even look into his bag while fetching the bottle containing water and taking a sip from it,” said Santosh Kumar, who accompanied the victim during the train journey to Delhi.

This crazed obsession with the viral video game needs to be toned down. Come on, people! Ever heard of paintball? It’s far more exhilarating. What do you think?
