Did Generation Steal Artwork for Their Marketing Campaign?

This isn’t a good look.

Generation PK

While some major brands like Asim Jofa and Deepak Perwani have taken steps to help combat the coronavirus crisis, some brands are doing quite the opposite.

As of today, 107 lives have been taken by the viral COVID-19 and the number of reported cases has risen to five thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight in Pakistan only. Given the huge stakes, even fashion brands have finally taken the initiative to help in any way they can.

Deepak Perwani has donated reusable PPE kits for healthcare workers, and Asim Jofa announced the production of protective suits.

Asim Jofa and team have taken an initiative to contribute to society and play our part in helping our front-liners to win this fight against coronavirus. We have successfully created a final prototype of a medical protective suit made according to the guidelines provided by medical experts.

Profits before everything

While it is noteworthy that these brands have taken notice of the gravity of the situation, some brands are still stuck on taking advantage of this crisis.

Generation PK has raised a lot of concerns and questions on social media after its poor marketing strategy on Instagram.

First, let’s take a look at what they posted.

People soon took to Twitter to address the issue of negligence and piracy in this ad campaign by Generation PK.

It’s about time we take a stand against such campaigns, that are trying to avoid the situation at hand. Plus, we really hope the Pakistani fashion brands should stop stealing designs and promotional materials from other artists. It’s something that has happened before as well.
