Aiman Khan is a well known Pakistani actress who has made a name for herself in the Pakistani showbiz industry. She has gotten nominations for her work in shows like Baandi and Ishq Tamasha. So, it goes without saying that Aiman’s future in the media industry looked very promising. However, it seems that Aiman is not going to be appearing on TV screens anytime soon.
Many people believe that Aiman’s husband of two years and prominent actor Muneeb Butt asked her to stop working in shows. Muneeb, who also worked in Baandi, among other shows, refused all allegations in a short yet straight forward answer.
The couple appeared in Express Entertainment‘s Ramadan transmission, where the host, Reema, asked Muneeb to clarify why Aiman Khan has been absent from the Pakistani showbiz industry.
Here’s what Reema asked Muneeb:
People have been claiming that after your marriage to Aiman, you refused to give her permission to work. How true is that statement?
Muneeb Butt was not hesitant in answering Reema’s question. He said,
I believe I have rights on Aiman as a husband, but I never want to impose anything on her. She has the right to live her life how she wants.
Obviously, plans change after marriage, but I never asked her to stop working. That decision is hers to make.
The Bay Dardi actress interrupted her husband and added,
I have been working, just not in shows at the moment.
Aiman also added that her daughter, Ammal, is very young and she does not want to leave her child in the hands of maids.
The couple’s answer’s did not clarify whether or not Aiman plans on returning to the screen. But, one thing is for certain; We will not be seeing her on television for quite some time.
Also, considering the fact that the young star has started her own clothing brand and travel company, alongside her sister, it seems that she has already taken a different route in life.
