Things are going on quite well for Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. as he is reportedly closer than ever to make his desired return to the Camp Nou (FC Barcelona). But did you know that the young sports star also made an appearance in Netlfix’s Money Heist? We can’t blame you if you never saw it.

Neymar Jr’s cameo appearance in the third season of their acclaimed Spanish show La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) was cut. And then re-edited later.

Why the delay?

In May, Brazilian model Najila Trindade accused the former FC Barcelona star of raping her at a hotel in Paris. Following the accusation, Neymar Jr. recorded a video message and explained what exactly happened between the two.

In a long video message, he presented his statement and WhatsApp conversation with the Brazilian model., ostensibly to clear doubts about what happened.

Not so long ago, the Brazilian police ended up dropping the rape charges against him for lack of evidence.

Since this controversy was ongoing while Money Heist’s current season debuted, the producers decided to edit out Neymar’s cameo in the show.

Neymar Did A Cameo for Money Heist

Neymar Jr. is reportedly a big fan of Money Heist. He had a cameo appearance as well.

Since the rape allegations against him turned out to be false, Netflix has decided to include his earlier performance.

The Brazilian superstar took to Twitter to share the news of finally featuring in his favorite show. Neymar is seen playing the role of a monk named Joao.

The third season of Money Heist broke audience records with over 34 million views worldwide within seven days of it’s release.

On the professional front, Neymar Jr. is currently looking for a move back to Spain. As of Tuesday, various media reports suggest that the latest developments between Barcelona and Paris saint germain (PSG) might see him return to Camp Nou this season.
