Did you know the actor who played the character of ‘Warda’ in the crime drama serial Ruswai is Rubina Ashraf’s daughter? Minna Tariq opened up about working on her mother’s directorial Ruswai.
The actress spilled the details in an interview with Fuchsia Magazine and talked about how she got the role and how she felt after working with such an incredible cast.
Minna Tariq first appeared in the 2012 drama Vanee. After completing that project, she went back to her studies and started college. She said that at that time she had gained a lot of weighed and decided to return to television after shedding off some fat.
“When I lost weight I started approaching companies. And since I had a know how about Six Sigma Plus, I approached to give me some work.”

So how did she end up in Ruswai? Was it an outcome of nepotism or was it a fair trial? When the host asked Minna about how she landed a role in Ruswai, she replied;
“It was at the same time when they approached my mother for Ruswai so it kind of fell into place. She asked me to read the script and then I gave an audition. I got confirmed a few weeks later,”
Minna also talked about how she got closer to her co-stars as she joined a little later than the rest.
“My entry was late in the drama. So one day my mother texted me to come and meet everyone. That’s how I met everyone and got comfortable with them. But I was very scared and nervous to work with Mikaal Zulfiqar.”
She said that since Mikaal is a huge celebrity, she expected some star tantrums from him. But she discovered that he is nothing like that. In fact, Minna has become his fan.
“I turned out to be Mikaal’s fan after working with him in Ruswai.” Minna Tariq added.
