Did You Know Nairobi From ‘Money Heist’ Starred in an Indian Movie?

Ever since Netflix started streaming hit Spanish series La Casa de Papel, nobody knew that it would go on to become one of the biggest TV series in the world. Known as Money Heist worldwide, the show’s incredibly talented cast have become household names around the globe.

 

One of the most popular and beloved characters from the show is Nairobi. The quick-witted and clever thief is quite talented and so is the actress that brought her to life. Before Money Heist, Alba Flores (who plays Nairobi) was already making quite a name for herself in the Spanish film industry.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to see someone who could take the role of Nairobi to be versatile.

In her early days, Alba thrived on taking challenging roles and one of those roles was to play a Telugu character.

Yup, that’s Nairobi in a traditional Indian dress with a bindi, braid and everything, perfectly blending into the role and environment. The film is called Vicente Ferrer and is largely based on the life and events of a Jesuit missionary from Spain, who decides to visit the state of Andhra Pradesh and lives there in order to improve the lives of the people.

The Money Heist star played the role of Shamira in the 2013 film. Seven years later, a clip of her from the film started making rounds on the internet and people are going crazing on social media. It is not just because of seeing Nairobi in a sari, but how Alba Flores is able to speak Telugu so fluently. Check it out!



Well, this clip has made Nairobi even more popular on social media as fans have more respect and admiration of Alba and her craft. We’re also glad the Professor didn’t assign her the name ‘Andhra Pradesh’, because that would’ve been weird.
