With the whole world under lock-down and quarantine due to deadly coronavirus, people are finding it hard to engage in social distancing. While some are doing their part to contribute in the fight against the spread of the deadly virus by providing charity and relief to the affected, others are doing their best to lift the spirits of people during the pandemic.
And then there are those who want to keep ‘motivating’ the brave healthcare professionals out there. A new Twitter trend was born out of that very need.
This picture was captured when my elder sister Dr.Sameeta was going to deal with #COVID19 patients at JPMC Karachi. She is fighting the challenges associated with her profession these days. She urges you to stay home and stay safe.🙏

Initially intended to pay tribute to doctors and medical staff, the #BlueTwitter hashtag quickly became one of the top trends all across the world. Things started alright at first, and then people got snarky.
At first, the blue color thats mentioned in the hashtag signifies the scrubs worn by healthcare workers who are fighting around the clock in order to contain the spread of the deadly virus and save as many lives as they can.

The hashtag had a nice sentiment for a while. And then it became something else.
It has now become another meaningless trend that people use to post their own pictures and feel good about themselves. In order to express their ‘solidarity’ to the frontline warriors working non-stop amid the coronavirus pandemic, netizens are sharing their favorite photos containing the blue color element. Here are some ‘brave’ netizens showcasing their support for the brave doctors and nurses, by posting these very ‘blue’ pictures…
