Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Gifts Struggling UFC Fighter a New Home in Miami

That’s why he is the People’s Champ.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson proved once again why he is the People’s Champ as he surprised financially struggling UFC fighter, Themba Gorimbo, with a new home in Miami.

The Hollywood A-lister was moved by the 32-year-old Zimbabwean’s story on Twitter, revealing that he had just $7.49 in his bank account. Despite his limited resources, Themba had used most of his earnings from UFC to build a well for his village in Zimbabwe, ensuring safe drinking water for his community.

In a heartwarming surprise, Johnson arranged to meet Gorimbo in a gym where the fighter had been sleeping on a couch while saving up for a house. Johnson revealed that the house was a gift, ending the days of couch-surfing for the aspiring champion.

Themba’s story resonated deeply with Dwayne Johnson, who could relate to the financial struggles faced by Gorimbo. The Hollywood star, who once lived out of his car with only $7 to his name, vowed to help the young fighter.

To ensure Gorimbo’s family can stay comfortably in the new home, Johnson pledged to lease the property and cover all expenses for as long as needed. The gesture left Gorimbo emotional, promising to work even harder to fulfill his dream of becoming a champion.

The former WWE superstar wrote in the caption,

Welcome home Themba Gorimbo. You and your family enjoy your new house brother. Lights are on. Bills are paid. Keep your “My Reason” list close, keep taking care of your people and I’m honored to play a very, very small role in your $7 bucks journey. $7 bucks. I’ve been there too. Got your back brother. Let’s get to work on that dream of becoming UFC champion one day 💪🏾

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who started his Seven Bucks Production company based on his own rags-to-riches story, proved once again that he is willing to give back and uplift those who face similar challenges.
