Musk struck a deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion earlier this year but the journey to the actual purchase was hindered, first with him backing out, followed by the matter landing up in court.
Twitter is suing him for ‘breach of contract’, and the court has set 28 October as the deadline for the closing of the deal.
Subsequently, Musk proposed to go through with the original $44 billion bid last week.
