The film is dedicated to the late Junaid Jamshed.

Shoaib Mansoor’s most anticipated film, Aasmaan Bolay Ga (ABG), has been in the making since 2020. Its stars, Maya Ali and Emaad Irfani, have refrained from giving details about it until now, but after a long hiatus, its lead actor has finally hinted at its release date.

The Cheekh star revealed that the movie will hit the big screens by the end of the year.

The Jalan star said,

We’re looking [to release the film] at the end of this year. We’re working on the date, I hope [it’s] December or January.

Emaad Irfani gave a bit of an overview of his avatar in the film and why he choose it.

He said, “It all started with a phone call some two or two and a half years ago and it sounded too good to be true. The character is a Pakistan Air Force F-16 pilot, one of my childhood dreams was to fly an F-16. I think a lot of my desires have been fulfilled in this film”.

He also explained the story behind the name of the film Aasmaan Bolay Ga, saying, “As the Urdu quote goes, ‘Khuda ke liye bol warna aasmaan bolay ga’ [For God’s sake, speak or else the sky will speak], Shoaib Mansoor’s legacy has become the completion of this saying”.

Great things are expected from the filmmaker who is acclaimed for Bol, Khuda Ke Liye, and Verna.

Cast

Emaad Irfani further revealed, “The central characters, the female lead and male leads are Maya Ali and me. Other than that, there are some very important characters [such as] Noman Ali Khan Sitara-e-Jurat, who’s being played by Asim Kakakhel, and Hassan Siddiqui Tamgha-i-Jurat, that’s being played by Qasim Ben Tariq, and Noreen Gulwani is playing a very important role, and Adnan Jaffar [as well]. These are very important characters that complete this puzzle”.

Talking about his work experience with Maya Ali the model shared that they have known each other prior to working on this project and they have really worked hard to make this film worth watching.

Most of ABG was shot in Pakistan but a small part of it was shot in Turkey.

The Maryam Periera starlet also gave details about the music of the film. He shared that the main song was sung by Faisal Kapadia, but a major portion of the music is by Vital Signs as the film is dedicated to Junaid Jamshed.
