Aside from fawning over his character Ertuğrul Bey, his Pakistani fans are also impressed with the kind of person Engin is in real life. From being a doting father he is to his outdoorsy hobbies.

In a recent Instagram story, the Kursun actor showed off his water surfing skills. Despite there not being a strong wave, the actor can be seen riding the gentle tide.
His friends just outside the visibility of the frame can be seen encouraging him. It seems he was following a boat, so it is unclear if he was line-surfing.
Engin Altan and Pakistani Fandom
Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan gained massive popularity in Pakistan for portraying the titular role in Ertugrul Ghazi, the Urdu dubbed version of the Turkish period drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul. He is also seen in the Islamic drama’s sequel series Kuruluş Osman.
The sequel series follows the events of how the Ottoman Empire was established after his father Ertugrul, the father of Osman I, laid the groundwork for the foundation of the Ottoman Caliphate.
