Turkish actor Engin Altan is all set to star in Barbaroslar. The star just shared the trailer of his upcoming drama, leaving fans around the world hyped up for his next.
After skyrocketing to fame with his performance in Diriliş: Ertuğrul, Engin Altan Düzyatan is back with another period drama. Taking to his Instagram account, the actor shared the trailer of Barbaroslar, which takes us to late 15th and early 16th century Ottoman Empire.
This will be another TRT production and is expected to air by September. Engin earlier shared BTS photos from the sets of his upcoming drama.
Barbaroslar will follow the adventures of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha, the Ottoman admiral whose naval victories secured Ottoman dominance over the Mediterranean during the mid 16th century.
Moreover, the series will reflect the end of the 15th century. It will showcase the adventures of four brothers in the Mediterranean, called Oruç, İshak, İlyas, and Hızır, who are the rulers of the seas in the Ottoman Empire.
According to reports, many foreign experts that have worked in TV series such as Vikings and Homeland, came to Turkey to create the action series.
