The Punjab police has shared an update on the Ertuğrul-Kashif Zameer case which has remained in the public eye since the beginning of 2021. According to reports, an investigation team of Punjab police will visit Turkey in order to look into the details of the matter.

The investigation team will record statements of Turkish actor Engin Altan and collect the agreement and cheques issued by the accused Kashif Zameer. The team will be led by SP Investigation Ali bin Tariq.

IG Punjab has sent a letter to the government at the request of Lahore Police to get the blue passport for team members and permission for investigation.

Earlier in June, the accused Kashif Zameer was arrested on the complaint of Diriliş: Ertuğrul actor Engin Altan. The Race Course police had registered a case against him for defrauding the Turkish actor.

The FIR states that Kashif had invited Engin Altan to visit Pakistan and deceived him into becoming the brand ambassador of his fake company. He sent a fake draft worth Rs90 million and when Engin’s team demanded the money, Zameer canceled the agreement and refused to pay.

When DSP CIA and his team conducted a raid at Kashif Zameer’s residence, they recovered a vehicle with blue emergency light and a green number plate along with arms and artificial gold jewelry. Based on that, the police registered another case against him.
