Peshawar Zalmi had us all waiting impatiently to announce its brand ambassador for this year. Most of this was because clues and hints led us to believe we will be seeing Esra Bilgiç representing the team. However, the PSL team revealed yesterday that Mahira Khan is its brand ambassador – for the 3rd time.
Mahira Khan is one of the most famous celebrities in Pakistan. She has been gracing our television screens for the past 15 years. Starting off as VJ, she rose to fame in no time. Soon, we started seeing the actress in several television shows and even films.
The Superstar actress is also a well-known model. She has been the face of many big-name Pakistani brands. And her fame isn’t limited to Pakistan. People all around the world- especially in India- know her as a star.
All of this makes her the perfect candidate to be the brand ambassador- especially for Peshawar Zalmi. But fans did not expect to see Mahira Khan as its brand ambassador. Previously, Esra Bilgiç and Javed Afridi- the team’s owner- were posting similar Tweets.
This led the public to believe the Turkish star from Diriliş: Ertuğrul will represent the team. However, now we’re wondering in what capacity the 28-year-old will be seen alongside Javed Afridi.
The third time is a charm
Mahira Khan isn’t new to this game- she has represented Peshawar Zalmi twice before. And now, she will be seen representing the team for the 3rd time. The announcement was made on Peshawar Zalmi’s official Twitter account. It reads:
