‘Euphoria’ Star Hunter Schafer Arrested At Pro-Palestine Protest

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer was arrested at a pro-Palestine protest on Monday during the taping of Joe Biden‘s Late Night With Seth Meyers appearance, according to reports.

According to Vulture, Schafer was one of those arrested whilst protesting for Palestinian rights with the Jewish Voice for Peace group. The protest sought to advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza amidst Israel’s continual bombing of Rafah.

According to reports, Schafer and approximately 50 other protesters were arrested at the NBC headquarters at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. A JVP spokesperson commended Schafer’s dedication to the cause of Palestinian freedom and justice, emphasizing her commitment to a future marked by equity and fairness for all.

During the protest, Schafer sported a t-shirt calling for a ceasefire. Videos and images from the event captured Schafer and fellow demonstrators chanting slogans urging an end to the violence and denouncing Biden’s foreign policy.

Biden appeared on Seth Meyers as a surprise guest, where he answered questions about topics ranging from his age to the conservative conspiracy about Taylor Swift to, unsurprisingly, the Israel-Hamas war.

Schafer’s arrest underscores the intersection of celebrity activism and social justice movements. Her involvement amplifies the voices of Palestinian people advocating for peace and highlights the importance of using one’s platform to call for change.

Schafer starred in Euphoria as transgender teen Jules Vaughn. The role has handed her global fame and she has won several awards for her performance. Other credits include The Hunger Games prequel and horror movie Cuckoo opposite Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick.
