Another day, another Pakistani winning at life in the digi-sphere. A fan-made wedding invite for Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding is making rounds on the Internet. Who are the masterminds behind this? Two Pakistani friends just having fun.
Sania Zaidi and Madeeha Basaria are the people behind the now-viral wedding invite. So how did these two come up with the idea of this viral sensation? According to Madeeha, it was just a joke that got way out of hand. (Good thing it did!)
“All of this started as a joke, to be honest. My friend and I, we’re diehard Bollywood fans and we do crazy stuff, and she always supports me with these things. So this time when the wedding was coming closer. So, I told her I really want to go to the wedding. So she said, ‘tou is mein kya hai, card bna dain gy‘ (no big, we can make the card), and she made the card.”
The funny thing is Filmfare thought this is how this is the legit wedding invite being circulated online. They shared an image of the card captioned;

Turns out this isn’t their first stint with fanmade celebrity wedding cards. It’s just that last time the Internet didn’t notice. Before Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding, they did the same for Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding!
“We did a similar thing for Deepika and Ranveer as well but at the time we didn’t know that it’ll go viral. And now we never expected that it would go viral.”
Despite this being a joke, it was an elaborate one. Being hardcore Bollywood fans, the girls did their research and made sure to add the right names on the cards. From the bride and groom’s parents to Vicky Kaushal’s brother.
“Since we’re diehard Bollywood fans, we did our research. Like who’s Vicky Kaushal’s brother and we added him to the RSVP. Vicky Kaushal’s parents’ name, Katrina Kaif’s parents’ names. That’s who we made the card. We got the news that the wedding is in Rajisthan, … we added timings too. Then for the number, we looked up a random Indian number to make it look like it’s an original card.”
All the love that came with their viral fame has been overwhelming for the two girls. However, it has been a very fun experience and that too on Madeeha’s birthday.
