Fahad Mustafa Recalls The Time He Almost Got Fired [Video]

He clearly is not a morning person.

Fahad Mustafa

Ever gotten into trouble for showing up late to work because you tend to oversleep? Well, to make you feel better, even a powerhouse celebrity like Fahad Mustafa has been in hot waters for it. In fact, he once almost got fired.

In a recent interview with Something Haute, the Kankar actor spilled the tea on why he left Hum TV’s morning show. After a falling out with the boss, over a pay deduction, Fahad knew the end was near.

“They were about to fire me, I had it coming I knew it. I used to do the morning show and in the last days, Sultana Appa and the team deducted my pay. I took a day off and at the end of the month they deducted my pay and I thought, now that they have deducted my money I’ll keep sleeping in late. I used to go to (work for) the show three days a week. At times, guests would start the show, and I used to join them afterward. So it wasn’t their fault, I will be honest with you.”

He even recalled one of his slip-ups that eventually had the management decide they would fire him.

“Once they invited Sohail Ahmed, for Ullu Barae Farokt Nahi. The whole cast was there, Sohail Saab was the guest that day. I overslept and didn’t go. They started the show and I joined in between and Nauman Masood was apparently hosting it for that particular time.”

Mustafa chalked it up to not being an early morning person. He’s amazed he held the ship for a morning show for three long years.

“I give myself a lot of credit that I did it for three years it’s very much unlike me,” said Fahad Mustafa.

In the end, when he knew getting fired was inevitable, he resigned on his own.

“But I resigned before they fired me,”
