Renowned singer Faisal Kapadia made an unexpected revelation about his connection to Bollywood star Dimple Kapadia in a recent interview on Dubai’s City 1016 radio
During a lighthearted conversation about his early years in music, Faisal shared a childhood memory that surprised both the hosts and listeners. He mentioned that Dimple Kapadia is his niece, explaining that her late father, Chunni Bhai Kapadia, was related to his family.
“Dimple Kapadia is actually my niece,” Faisal said with a smile, adding that Chunni Bhai once visited Karachi to attend a cousin’s wedding. The singer’s revelation drew astonishment from the hosts, who asked him to clarify the relationship. Faisal confirmed, “Yes, her father, Chunni Bhai, was part of our family — she’s my cousin’s daughter.”
The surprising detail came as Faisal was recalling his early performances on Pakistan’s iconic children’s show “Sare Dost Hamare” in the 1980s, produced by renowned composer Sohail Rana. He fondly mentioned that legendary singer Nazia Hassan also participated in the same program.
