Fatima Jinnah To Be Portrayed By Sajal Aly and Samiya Mumtaz In an Upcoming Series

The web series, titled Fatima Jinnah will be depicted Madar-e-Millat in three eras

Time and again Sajal Aly has proven how remarkable actress she is. Like Yumna Zaidi, Sajal seems to be quite lucky for getting iconic roles and making a benchmark for themselves. Recently, Sajal made it to Hollywood. Her first look in the Jemima Goldsmith’s upcoming movie “What love has got to do with it?” was recently dropped.

Another news has been making waves on the internet that Sajal Aly got lucky enough to play Madr e Millat in an upcoming web series on Fatima Jinnah. A lot of actresses have also previously attempted to be Fatima Jinnah but we are certain that Sajal is going to ace this role.

The show is going to yet again feature the era of partition and the blood, sweat and tears Quaid e Azam,  Fatima Jinnah and Muslims put in to get Pakistan.

The web series, titled Fatima Jinnah will be depicted Madar-e-Millat in three eras: Fatima Jinnah in her 30s and during the pre-partition era. Fatima Jinnah in her 50s and during the Independence and Fatima Jinnah in her 70s during the post-partition era.

Madre Millat’s character will be portrayed by three different actresses following 3 periods in time. Not only the maestro Sajal but Sundus Farhan, and Samiya Mumtaz will be essaying Jinnah in their respective eras.

Samiya Mumtaz is truly a masterpiece of the industry her remarkable acting skills have always left our jaws dropped. The director Danial K Afzal said

“Oh, Samiya Apa was just the icing on the cake. She’s such a seasoned actor, she’s done theater. I was always taught that you don’t have to look a certain way to play a certain character. That, too, just worked out wonderfully. I was privileged enough to work with her.

Talking further Afzal explained how he was stuck in a difficult conundrum to choose the main lead.

“When we were looking for an actor to cast the mid-aged Fatima Jinnah, we were in talks with several big names such as Sanam Saeed, Iqra Aziz, Syra Yousuf, and Sajal Aly. All four of them are tremendous actors. But for me, when I was reading about Fatima Jinnah, I was looking for an actor who would carry a similar body language to hers during the 1930s and 1940s around the Independence time. Sajal gave me that.

The cherry on top! our favorite from Sinf e Aahan the pawrty girl will be making an appearance in the series too. The director spilt that

“Dananeer will blow your mind! I won’t reveal much about her role, but she has been magnificent throughout. She has a pivotal role. Dananeer plays one of the main roles in the show.”

After a major inspiration from Sinf e Aahan directors are now confident to remake the patriotic and influential characters to boost the spirit of the nation.

Daniyal revealed that Fatima Jinnah is a figure that has not been touched before.

“Knowing how women-centric stories are sold and taken to a higher esteem in Pakistan, I think she will be creating quite a ripple effect.”

The characters not just include Fatima Jinnah but also  Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan, Ruttie Jinnah and Rana Liaquat Hussain among others.
