Batman is 80 years old now. And yes, people are celebrating the world’s most famous crime fighter in a variety of ways. We know the caped crusade loves the Bat Signal, so what better way to celebrate Batman Day than by lighting up that sky with a giant bat?

Batman was created 80 years ago on September 21st by artist Bill Finger and writer Bob Kane. He remains one of the most popular superheroes in the world today, even though there’s nothing super about his powers. He makes up for with his intellect and training what others do with their heat vision and super-strength.

So how is the world celebrating Batman Day? In a variety of ways it seems.
