Former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member of National Assembly (MNA), Abdul Haq alias Mian Mithu has taken over the headlines with another marriage. According to the reports, the 85-year-old politician has married a 40-year-old widow.
Sources claim that his second wife is the widowed daughter of late Jam Abdus Sattar Khan Dahar.
Mian Mithu had also confirmed his second marriage with several news outlets. According to the reports, some members of Dahar family had wished the couple best of luck, however, others had expressed their reservations over their marriage.
The politician has over 150 sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters as well as great-grandsons and great-granddaughters. His first wife is alive as well.
Abdul Haq is an influential figure in Sindh’s Ghotki district. Wikipedia states that he is a member of Bharchundi Shareef Dargah and is notorious for forced conversion and abduction of Hindu girls. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013.
