Bollywood’s famous actress Ali Bhatt recently received a lot of praise and acclamation because of her recently released Sanjay Leela Bansali film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film created a buzz amongst the film critics and lovers not because of the amazing storyline but also the phenomenal acting of Alia Bhatt.
The film is taking strides not only in India but also all over the world even in Pakistan. Aside from the general audience, many celebrities also praise Alia for her amazing acting.
The film tells the story of how she became Gangubai Kathiawadi, one of the most respected brothel madames during the 1960s, fighting for the rights of sex workers and their children. The movie is based on a chapter from S. Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Gangubai Kathiawadi. A girl Kathiawad, ended up in Mumbai’s red-light area. She embraced the twists in her destiny to build her own powerful empire.
The film enjoyed box office success, amassing nearly Rs. 130 Crore (£13 million) and becoming one of the top-grossing films of the year. It is the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film after Sooryavanshi for a pandemic release.
Pakistani actors are also in awe of the brilliant performance of actress Alia Bhatt. Bilal Qureshi, Saba Qamar, and Durrefishan Saleem praised the performance of the Highway star. They loved the film and storyline as well.
Saba Qamar and Duresfishan recently appeared in Nida Yasir’s morning show and wholeheartedly praised spine chilling performance of Alia. And said that Pakistani producers should also make this kind of movie. Take a look at the video below.
