Local music concerts in Pakistan are often a hit or miss. Sometimes the event is a big success and the local artist are able to make headlines across social media.
However, not all publicity is good publicity as one local singer managed to shock everyone on social media as well as the people in attendance when he decided to add a bit of ‘flare’ to his performance. By flare we mean, a rifle!

Singer Ali Hassan decided to perform with an ektara in one hand and a real rifle in the other hand. The weapon was not just for show as he started firing shots while singing a Sindhi song. People recorded the incident and the video instantly went viral on social media.
In the meantime, the Ghotki police have launched an investigation against the local singer after watching the video of him firing shots in the air.
Iftekhar Ahmed, a spokesperson for the Ghotki police, told SAMAA TV that the video is old but the police are still carrying out an investigation. He said that action will be taken against the singer after the investigation.
The singer in question, Ali Hassan, has stated that he did not want to use the weapon but only did so on the insistence of the event’s organizers. Stay posted for more developments on this story.
