Turkish diva Esra Bilgiç stars in an ad campaign for Victoria’s Secret. Pakistani fans lose their minds, watching ‘Halima Baji‘ promoting and wearing just a bra.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you probably have heard of Esra Bilgiç. The Turkish actress and model is a household name in Pakistan due to her fame in Diriliş: Ertuğrul. As the warrior princess Halima Sultan, Esra has amassed a huge fan following on social media. Most of the fans are Pakistanis.
Since Ertuğrul, the 28-year-old has become an honorary Pakistani celebrity. She’s an ambassador to PSL’s Peshawar Zalmi, and even a model for local brands like Khaadi and Maria B. Just goes to show the star power of Esra Bilgiç. Who knows, she might even start her own political party here! However, Esra may have to put those political aspirations on hold as the “moral police” are on her case yet again.
Recently, the Turkish diva took to her Instagram to promote her latest ad campaign for women’s brand Victoria’s Secret. The Ertuğrul star is the face of the fashion brand’s new bra catalog ‘Love Cloud’.
This did NOT sit well with the “Halima Baji” fans on social media as they took to the comments to lecture the Turkish starlet. It seems people tend to forget that Esra is an actress and model, not a role model of Islamic teachings. Sadly, most of these fans know see her as Halima Baji or even Halima Bhahbi!
