Ex-actor Hamza Ali Abbasi will speak about his ‘Journey from Atheism to Islam’ at the event in Dallas. The Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor took to Twitter to announce his address at the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning.

The Waar actor took to Twitter to announce his presence at an upcoming fundraiser for the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning. Entry tickets for the event are being sold at $50.

His last acting gig, Alif follows the story-line of a man’s spiritual journey. He had previously revealed that one of the reasons he chose to do Alif was because it spreads the message of God. Now he is finally sharing the details of his personal spiritual journey.

Earlier in November 2019, the Pyarey Afzal star announced that he was bidding adieu to acting. Hamza Ali Abbasi then announced that he would spend the rest of his life in the service of Islam.

The Mann Mayal actor also clarified that ‘acting is not haram‘ (forbidden) in Islam. He listed his reasons for leaving the Pakistani entertainment industry to be the lack of purpose and inability to create content he wanted to.

At the time he had briefly touched on the subject of his journey from atheism to Islam. He also vowed to spread the message of Islam. He planned to do so through film and drama.

“I will make films and dramas to give the message of God,”

He had long been vocal about item songs and ‘inappropriate elements’ in dramas and films. As a content producer, he had asserted that he would now produce quality content in accordance with Islam.

 

No Unsolicited Advice

In his November video, the former Pakistan Star judge asked people not to judge his intentions. He asserted that his intentions are pure and that his content is for people who want to view it.

“Oppose my videos or support them, but don’t question my intentions,”
