Hareem Farooq Doesn’t Care What Bloggers Think About Her Films

Public opinion matters.

Pakistani actress Hareem Farooq does not mince words. On her recent appearance on ‘The Munshi show‘, she said that ‘bloggers’ opinions don’t matter, public opinion does‘.

Hareem Farooq said this in response to a question on how bloggers are praising ARY Digital’s Paray Hut Love and Hum TV’s Superstar. Meanwhile, Hareem contends that Heer Maan Ja is missing out mentions on mainstream media.

“The idea that two blogs or a handful of journalists can define a certain project is inaccurate. Public opinion is valuable than bloggers who form opinions because the public is saying that they shouldn’t go hard on Heer Man Ja for Parchi. Both are two different films and Heer Man Ja is way too good.”

Hareem Farooq defended her film saying people have high expectations from Heer. When asked if she was worried about the massive influence Hum TV and ARY Digital have, the Parchi actress remained undeterred. She does not think the influence of two of Pakistan’s biggest channels will affect her movie.

While it’s true ARY Digital and HUM TV have a large number of shows i.e. the number of screens a film is played in a movie theater and the number of slots it has in a day,. Hareem Farooq trusts God and her audience.

“I don’t think so, Allah is Greatest and above all these things, if we have made a good production it will eventually grow.”

The Siyaah breakout star even defended her creative choices for the film. When Momin Ali Munshi said:

“I am a biggest Zara Sheikh fan but I wanna un-see her look in the ‘Addi Maar’ song”

Hareem responded with:

“It was great look, we don’t change our opinion for a few people and I know what public craves for and her look and song absolutely went together.”

Previously, her prior film Parchi received harsh reviews from bloggers but still made it big at the box office. Maybe that’s why Hareem knows from experience that bloggers’ opinions don’t matter.
