Harry And Meghan Announce New Project With Netflix

The ex-royals signed a production deal with Netflix last year and now their first series will hit the floors soon

After garnering a lot of attention from the media due to their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry and Meghan are back with another exciting news. This time the couple has announced their new series with Netflix that they had signed last year.

Their new docu-series is called the Heart of Invictus, produced by their television production company, Archewell Productions. It will document the behind-the-scenes story of the Invictus Games.

The series will follow “a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now set to take place in 2022,” Netflix said

Who will be heading the project?

The royal couple has chosen Orlando von Einsiedel as the director of the series and Joanna Natasegara as head of the production. Together they will be forging this dream into a reality. Harry and Meghan are trying to set up their own production company so they can manage their expenses more smoothly.

This project is especially close to Prince Harry’s heart as he has served as a military veteran. He founded The Invictus Games in 2014. It is an international sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick military service members, both serving and veterans.

In a statement to the media, Prince Harry said, “As Archewell Productions’ first series with Netflix, in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service.”

Desperate times call for desperate measures

As discussed in the interview before, the couple has faced serious financial implications after their split from the royal family. With this new venture of theirs, they hope to bring more stability to their life. The couple has been living in California since then with their son Archie.
