Comedian and political nut-buster Hasan Minhaj is in the news again. Well this time the Indian American funnyman found himself denied entry to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Houston. Guess Houston does have a problem after all.
Basically, Hasan was denied entry by the organizers, who cite that he did not have the credentials to go there. Ok, that seems a bit fishy considering that Minhaj has criticized Modi in the past, especially in his show Patriot Act on Netflix.

But then these same organizers say that there was no space for Hasan’s broadcast crew at the mega-event, which was held at the giant NRG Stadium in Texas no less.
Check out what happened to Hasan Minhaj and his crew here:
An Islamophobic attack on press in 3 acts: Muslim journalist and @patriotact host @hasanminhaj was denied access at Tump/Modi event. Event producers cite lack of credentials (despite credentials set for him), cite lack of space for broadcast (press pool & camera risers 1/2 empty) pic.twitter.com/4mvjwLrFGy

This video of Hasan being denied entry was posed on the Instagram of Adam Matthew Weiss, president and CEO of AMWPR, which handled the event. Guess who Adam is close with:
.@hasanminhaj & @patriotact this was the man who was filming you at the press check in. Seems fitting how a man who works communications for Milo Yiannopoulos and Steve Bannon would find common ground at #HowdyModi pic.twitter.com/kBOofWGRgA

So a lot of alt-right and white supremacists seem chummy with this guy. But sure, Hasan was denied entry due to… lets say made up reasons. He wasn’t the only Muslim personality who was turned away from the Modi rally.

Maria Kari, a journalist, also faced the same issue:
1- I'm based in Houston where the #HowdyModi event is taking place right now. Instead of covering it live from the inside (like I did with Imran Khan's rally in DC), I'm having to watch the event online because my Dawn News press pass was denied for some bullshit, fake reason.

Looks like I’m not the only Muslim journalist who was blocked from attending the #HowdyModi event today. Damn. https://t.co/qfeqlCTkY7

Hasan Minhaj has spoken for Kashmir too
In the past, Hasan has taken Indians to task for electing a fascist Hindutva supremacist in Modi. He also regularly savages Donald Trump, who was also invited to the Modi rally.
This is what he posted on India’s Independence Day:

Guess Modi didn’t like that part at Patriot Act where Hasan Minhaj tells the whole world that he can’t do a press conference, even if his life depended on him.
