Indian talk show host Simi Garewal shares her thoughts on Imran Khan’s exit as Prime Minister of Pakistan. According to her, Imran was never corrupt.
Legendary cricketer Imran Khan is finally forced out of his post as Prime Minister of Pakistan. The National Assembly’s No-Confidence voting saw the end of the Kaptaan‘s regime. The motion against Imran Khan sent shockwave not just nationwide, but across the border as well.

Celebrities all around are sharing their thoughts on Pakistan’s political unrest and Imran Khan. Simi Garewal, the Indian actress, director, producer and talk show host gave her two-cents on the matter as well.
“Imran Khan’s exit as prime minister teaches: 1. A joint opposition can dismiss a popular PM. 2 Politics is no place for idealists.” Garewal swore that idealism was at Khan’s core.
Host of the Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the 74-year-old presenter is a renowned figure who has known Imran Khan for 40 years. Imran even gave an interview to her back in 2006. Simi’s takeaway from the interview was that Imran has always been an idealist. Though she admits he may have many failings, corruption is not one of them.
Back in 2018, when Khan took his post as Prime Minister, the Indian talk show host was the first to congratulate him. In fact, Simi created some controversy by sharing how Imran Khan revealed to her that a pir predicted him becoming Prime Minister and would also be assassinated. The Indian host deleted the original post, but here is a screenshot.
