The cancellation of the 2020 Tekken World Tour probably came as no surprise given the current pandemic, but was disappointing nonetheless. Since then, fighting game communities worldwide have been creating opportunities for their players through online lobbies and the safety of their own homes.

With the ever-growing gaming community we have in Pakistan, FATE Esports decided to host a Lockdown Brawl that showcased the talents of the top 24 players in the country. The crown currently lay with Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddiqui who had dominated the TWT 2019.

While there were other familiar faces present along with Arslan Ash, including Geese Howard expert Imran “Khan” Khan, there was also some fresh talent making its way to the top. Heera Malik, a Steve Fox specialist who was still relatively unknown, managed to make it all the way to the final and while his opponent Arslan Ash chose to experiment with Eliza, Heera stuck with his trusty Steve.

Although Arslan Ash initially seemed to get the upper hand in the final, which was a best-of-five, Heera Malik was quick to see through the flashy mixups. It only took him one counter-hit combo to even out the rounds and get back in the game.

Although Arslan switched to his legendary Kazumi after the final game, Heera managed to secure the match and in a close call won the tournament with just a sliver of health left. Afterward he took to Twitter to thank the organizers and celebrate his win.
