So we finally have our most closest look at the Batman. Directed by Matt Reeves, the man finally gave us a peak at the costume design of this reincarnation of the crime-fighting hero. He took to Twitter to reveal a teaser for the upcoming blockbuster.
The 55-second camera test of The Batman showcases Robert Pattinson showcasing the new batsuit for the first time.
The new suit looks incredible, to be honest. Christian Bale (Batman Begins) was a fan favorite for how he portrayed Batman. After him, Ben Affleck took the same role and was initially met with criticism. It took some time for people to warm up to his portrayal.
We have a feeling Pattinson’s new role might make him a future fan favorite as well, but we’ll have to wait to be the judge of that.

Fan reactions
The teaser was met with mixed reactions from fans. While some were in disbelief and continued praising the old Batman actors, some were hopeful of Pattinson doing justice to the role. Perhaps some of the optimistic people were Twilight fans, but what’s final is that the vampire has finally transitioned into a bat.
Speaking about the new role with Variety, Pattinson said:
I’d had Batman in my mind for a while. It’s such an absurd thing to say. I sort of had an idea to do it, and I’d been prodding Matt. He didn’t accept any prods. I kept asking to meet him.
Other cast members in the movie include Colin Farrell, who will play as the villian, Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin. Then we have John Turturro who will take on the role of the Gotham mob boss, Carmine Falcone. Commissioner Gordon and Alfred Pennyworth, Batman’s butler and friend, will be portrayed by Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis respectively.
The love interest and occasional nemesis of the Batman, Catwoman, is going to be portrayed by Zoe Kravitz.
Filming for “The Batman” began on 28th January and it is scheduled to be released on 25th June, 2021 and until then we’ll have to wait and just look out for more teasers in the upcoming months.
