We’ve all noticed the ‘most listened to on Spotify’ trend on social media. While everyone is sharing the songs they have been vibing to the most throughout the year, a country version of the trend has also emerged. So what has Pakistan been jamming to?
Spotify, although the world’s most popular audio-streaming subscription service, is relatively new in Pakistan. The music streaming service was only launched in Pakistan in February 2021.
Despite that Pakistani have taken to Spotify. So when the service revealed a list of the most played track, most streamed artists, and top Spotify playlists in Pakistan we weren’t all that surprised.
So what artists have Pakistanis been vibing to? The ‘most-streamed artists’ list includes;
- Arijit Singh
- Pritam
- BTS
- Atif Aslam
- The Weekend
- AP Dhillon
- Talha Anjum
- Talhah Yunus
- Tanishk Bagchi
- Taylor Swift
Three of the most streamed artists in the country are Indian. When it comes to the ‘most streamed most tracks’ we see a similar pattern including tracks like;
- Tu Aake Dekhle by King
- Brown Munde by AP Dhillon
- Insane by AP Dhillon
- MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) by Lil Nas X
- Butter by BTS
- Ghalat Fehmi – From Superstar by Asim Azhar
- STAY (with Justin Bieber) by The Kid LAROI
- Masked Wolf ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’ by Masked Wolf
- Gumaan by Young Stunners
- Afsanay by Talha Anjum
The top playlists, however, were more surprising. As Pakistan’s ‘top Spotify playlists’ included;

- Beast Mode
- All Time Pakistani Hits

This suggests workout playlists and gaming playlists are catching on in Pakistan. As e-sports catch on that was expected.
