The coronavirus lockdown has delayed many new releases, both in music and film. However, Asim Azhar’s recent single ‘Soneya‘ release kept getting delayed for a multitude of different reasons.
Turns out it couldn’t have come at a better time with the overwhelming response the track received.

In a tweet thanking his fans for all the love they showered on ‘Soneya‘, Asim Azhar also shared how the single was created a year ago. Yet the single wasn’t released until now.

Turns out there were plenty of hurdles that delayed the track. He even thought the song might never be released at that rate.

Well, better late than never. The song has already garnered over one million+ views on YouTube since it was released last week.
Asim Azhar’s Soneya was written by Kunaal Vermaa and composed by Asim Azhar himself.
